About Blacklist IP Lookup

What is an IP Address? It's a numerical label assigned to each device participating in a computer network that uses the Internet Protocol for communication. It serves two principal functions: host or network interface identification and location addressing. In other words, it indicates where your computer is and how the internet can find it. It is important for you to know your IP address for many reasons.

You may need it for tech support, online gaming, remote desktop applications, and detecting proxies. This is also useful for you to know because search engines will know you by your IP address, and sites that are blacklisted are done so according to that IP address.

What this tool is

Our free Blacklist Lookup tool will check to see if your IP address is "blacklisted," or listed on an anti-spam database. Even if you have done nothing wrong, your IP address might be blacklisted because the last person who owned that IP address, or some other website sharing that IP address if you have a shared host, was blacklisted for malicious content or malware.

Please note that our tool cannot do anything about the databases that you are blacklisted on, but if you know that you are blacklisted on any, you might be able to do something about it. This is why it's important for you to check now and again, and every time your IP address changes.

How this tool works

You do not need to know your website's IP address prior to using this tool. You simply need the URL. Input it into the text box and click 'submit.' Instantly, our tool will show you the IP address of your domain, if it is blacklisted overall, and if it is specifically blacklisted on any of twenty-eight specific anti-spam databases.

The list of databases itself is not compromised of hyperlinks so you cannot directly click on it to go to that page, but it does show the URL, so you can manually go to that page if you need to. These twenty-eight anti spam databases are the most common databases, although these are not all of them.

If you are listed on one or more of these, you might possibly be listed on smaller ones too, but if you are unlisted on every single one of these databases, chances are you are unlisted everywhere. You want to make sure that you are unlisted so that no searches leave you out of their results.
